Modernist floor lamp by Acciarri, 1970

[SOLD] Striking floor lamp by Acciarri Italy (attr.) in alloy, acrylic and marble. Acciarri was a small company that made switches for several lighting companies. However, they also produced lamps. Mostly desk lamps for architects which makes this floor lamp rather unusual.
 
A very elegant design: two acrylic half spheres slightly opened up, showing the recessed metal construction that holds them together. The sphere is 'floating' in the metal frame and follows the shape of the frame perfectly. Beautiful marble base plate in grey and white tones. The switch is integrated in the frame.
 
In very good condition, no cracks or damages to the sphere, no rust spots on the frame. Only a few small chips off the marble. Electrically sound and ready to be enjoyed.
